The winners for the 2024 Producers Guild Awards in the Sports and Children’s categories were announced in Manhattan. Netflix’s docuseries “Beckham” Season 1 was awarded the Outstanding Sports Program prize, while Max’s “Sesame Street” Season 53 won for Outstanding Children’s Program.
The Producers Guild will be announcing the winners for Outstanding Short Form Program and PGA Innovation Award on Thursday during the nominees celebration in Los Angeles. The main Producers Guild Awards event is scheduled for Sunday at Ovation Hollywood’s Ray Dolby Ballroom.
The 2023 powerhouse duo of “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” will be competing against “American Fiction,” “Anatomy of a Fall,” “The Holdovers,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Maestro,” “Past Lives,” “Poor Things,” and “The Zone of Interest” for the prestigious Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures. This award is known for predicting Best Picture Oscar winners, with 15 of the past 20 recipients going on to win the Academy Award. Last year, the PGA honored “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” which later claimed the Oscar.
Gail Berman is set to receive the PGA’s 2024 Norman Lear Achievement Award, while Charles D. King will be honored with the Milestone Award.
The winners announced so far for the 35th annual PGA Awards include:
