Universal International Studios (UIS)-owned Heyday Television, in collaboration with Universal Television, has secured the rights to the book in a highly competitive deal. This partnership, spearheaded by Heyday boss David Heyman and Alan Yang, is set to bring the captivating story to the small screen.

Beginning with their ancestor, Oanh, who defied societal norms for love, the story unfolds with a prophecy that promises to reunite estranged family members. As the protagonist, Mai Nguyen seeks guidance from her psychic Auntie Hua, the narrative takes unexpected twists and turns that promise to engage viewers.
Huynh and Bekah Brunstetter are set to adapt the novel for television, bringing their creative vision to the project.
