A New Era for BAFTA North America

BAFTA North America has officially announced the appointment of Joyce Pierpoline as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. Pierpoline, a highly acclaimed producer, brings with her a wealth of experience and a strong passion for the industry. With an impressive lineup of successful projects under her belt, including the award-winning films “Mediha” and “Teeth,” she is well-positioned to lead BAFTA North America into a new era of excellence.

Joining Pierpoline on the BAFTA North America board is David Linde, the CEO of Participant. Linde brings a unique perspective to the table, with his extensive background as the CEO of Lava Bear Films and chairman of Universal Pictures. His experience in the industry, coupled with his proven track record of success, will undoubtedly contribute to the strategic direction of BAFTA North America.

Continuing their terms on the BAFTA North America executive board are actor Elliot Knight, who serves as Deputy Chair, Betsy Rodgers, a prominent business and legal affairs executive, as Secretary, and Josephine Coyle, director of post-production finance at Disney, as Treasurer. This diverse lineup of professionals with their varied expertise will ensure that BAFTA North America continues to thrive and support the region’s vibrant film, game, and television industries.

The extended BAFTA North America board includes a stellar lineup of industry powerhouses, each making significant contributions to the field. Alexis Alexanian, Tara Grace, and Sally Habbershaw, all distinguished producers and executives, bring their wealth of experience, creativity, and business acumen to the table.

Dame Pippa Harris, one of the industry’s leading film and TV producers, and Nyasha Hatendi, a multi-talented actor, writer, and director, add a distinct artistic touch to the board. Tracy Ifeachor, an accomplished actor and entrepreneur, further enriches the board with her diverse skill set and entrepreneurial spirit.

Additionally, the board welcomes Alexa Jago, the president of New Horizon Pictures, Jon Katz, a seasoned film and television producer, and founder of Civilian 7 Entertainment, and Frank Marshall, an acclaimed producer and director. The board is also joined by Marc Samuelson, the founder of Route 24 Ltd, and Jonathan Sehring, co-founder and partner of Sideshow Pictures.
