This is an awful film. A potentially decent storyline wasted . ….Bad lighting, Richard Boone clinging to the tatters of his career supported by an uninspiring cast which includes an Aussie country singer .
Said Aussie singer also contributes to the embarrassingly limp soundtrack while browned-up white actors ham it up as noble savage or ruthless baddy Native American stereotypes.
Then there is the terrible editing and dire continuity.

Ich meine, dass schlechte Schauspieler und Null-Handlung schon eine krasse Mischung sind,aber,dass man auch noch am Licht gespart hat, ist echt beeindruckend.

I was looking for this movie so long…I have watched it in the beginning of eighties her on the iraqi official TV .
Selbst für einen 1975 Film ist dieser Streifen so billig und dämlich gemacht. Wie von vielen kritisiert ,mangelt es in vielen Szenen an Helligkeit. Die Schauspieler sind von ausreichend(4) bis mangelhaft(5) Die Schnittabteilung war wohl von einem Affen besetzt.Musik ,das ist noch als durchschnitt ok. Am dämlichsten ist die Handlung/Drehbuch.So ein hilfloser Junge in der Gefährlichen Wildniss,an seiner Seite ein Alkoholiker der ständig die Meinung ändert.Das Ende ist Dünnschiss,aber wirklich sehr aufmerksam und nett von der anderen sich zu opfern damit es doch noch zum Happy End kommt.
