CBS is making a bold move for Super Bowl LVIII by setting up its central broadcast location in Las Vegas. Breaking away from tradition, the network has chosen the iconic Fountains of Bellagio as the backdrop for its weeklong, multiplatform coverage of the biggest sporting event in America. From Monday, February 5 to Sunday, February 11, CBS will bring together shows from four different divisions across broadcast, cable, and streaming to provide a comprehensive experience for viewers.
The shows originating from Las Vegas are a mix of sports analysis, news reporting, and entertainment segments. Among them is the widely popular pregame show, CBS SPORTS THE NFL TODAY, hosted by James Brown and featuring a star-studded panel of analysts, including Phil Simms, Bill Cowher, Nate Burleson, Boomer Esiason, JJ Watt, and lead NFL insider Jonathan Jones. This show will offer in-depth game analysis, features, and interviews to get fans pumped up before the big game.
SUPER BOWL LIVE will be hosted by Adam Zucker, who will be joined by a rotating cast of analysts such as Matt Ryan, Charles Davis, Kyle Long, Amy Trask, Trent Green, Kevin Carter, and Jonathan Jones. Every night, they will provide viewers with news and analysis to keep them up to date with the latest developments.
CBS SPORTS HQ, the network’s dedicated streaming sports news network, will also be in full swing throughout the week. With over 40 hours of programming, fans will have access to comprehensive coverage leading up to the Super Bowl. The network will conclude the week with an extended post-game show for Super Bowl LVIII.
While CBS is primarily known for its sports coverage, the network will also bring its news and entertainment segments to Las Vegas. CBS MORNINGS, the morning news program, will broadcast live from the location on Thursday and Friday. Co-hosts Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil, and Nate Burleson will provide original reporting, breaking news, newsmaker interviews, and engaging storytelling for viewers.
CBS SATURDAY MORNING, hosted by Dana Jacobson, will go live from Las Vegas, bringing its signature blend of news and entertainment. Norah O’Donnell, anchor and managing editor of CBS EVENING NEWS, will also broadcast live from the vibrant city.
CBS Owned Television Stations and Affiliates covering Super Bowl LVIII will also join in on the excitement by broadcasting from the Bellagio during their local newscasts, bringing a local touch to the national event.
As part of CBS’s coverage, the network’s popular talk show, THE TALK, will have live broadcasts from Monday to Friday. Hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood will entertain viewers with celebrity guests and highlights of all the happenings in Vegas.
The network is also partnering with other media ventures based in Las Vegas. The Drew Barrymore Show will tape “Drew’s News” and field segments throughout the week, capturing the energy and excitement leading up to the Super Bowl. ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, hosted by Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner, will be on the ground to cover all the star-studded events in Sin City. Additionally, INSIDE EDITION, the daily syndicated newsmagazine, hosted by Deborah Norville, will originate from Las Vegas during the week.
