Jon Stewart is scheduled to host live episodes of The Daily Show after the conclusion of both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. The Comedy Central personality will be going live from Milwaukee on July 18th and from Chicago on August 22nd. This move is part of the show’s Indecision 2024 election coverage, where Stewart will be sharing hosting responsibilities with the News Team.
The News Team that will be joining Stewart includes Ronny Chieng, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta, and Desi Lydic, as well as Dulcé Sloan and Lewis Black. New additions to the team are Troy Iwata, Josh Johnson, and Grace Kuhlenschmidt. This ensemble will be providing coverage from the Marcus Performing Arts Center in Milwaukee during the RNC and from the Athenaeum Center for Thought & Culture in Chicago during the DNC.
The Daily Show will be airing a full week of episodes from the RNC in Milwaukee from July 15 to July 18, and from the DNC in Chicago from August 19 to August 22. The live episodes will be shown weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT. As part of Indecision 2024, Stewart will also be hosting two live shows after the presidential debates. These episodes will air on Thursday, June 27, and Tuesday, September 10, following the debates between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
