Dam. This is a good movie. The baby scene was dramatic. Haven't got much passed that scene yet, but this has me hooked.
Great story telling……. wonderful acting …….. boffo
I still contend this is one of the most underrated WWII movie ever. It's certainly one of Nick Nolte's best roles.
Hi Guys. The real story of "Operation Semut" took place in the Kelabit village of Bario in Sarawak Province of Borneo. This is the Kelabit Tribe today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF7UkOZhJP0
The Brit was slow to accept reality. In New Guinea, wounded Japs were so often booby-trapped with grenades that Aussie soldiers stopped trying to take them prisoner, a bullet or a bayonet in passing, good riddance.
Great movie, thank you for sharing

The writing in this film just doesn't make sense like half the time. Had to see it because of who directed it, but Its one of Milius' worst films imo. Still, better than most of the modern trash we get. Hell, I atleast finished it. More than half the movies I have started that came out since like 2020, I didnt.
Third World Audience Applauding . Hallelujah

I love it. What song is more fitting for a native resistance against an imperial occupier than "The Rising of the Moon!"
