For those that aren't aware, the guys doing the bull riding are rodeo cowboys from that era. Like Lane Frost, Tuff Hedeman, Jim Sharp and others. Check out the credits, if you have the time.
Even though there are times this movie is a bit on the cheesey side at times, it's still a great western movie. One of my favorites.
I tried rodeo when I was young but I was never good enough to make a livin' at it. I did spend several years on the road touring with a band though.
Where this movie is so great is the feeling of coming home. It's never the same as they way you left it. The memories are always better than the reality.
