Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, singer Ciara, are reportedly set to make a substantial profit on the sale of their Washington estate. According to a source familiar with the deal, the power couple sold their 11,100-square-foot home for a whopping $21.25 million and an adjacent lot for nearly $10 million, totaling a hefty $31 million for the entire property.
Wilson initially purchased the six-bedroom house for $6.7 million in 2015 and acquired the adjacent lot for the same amount four years later. With the recent sale, he stands to make a staggering $17.6 million in profit. The transaction is said to be under contract and is expected to be finalized in May.
Having played for the Seattle Seahawks for a decade, Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos in 2022 in a significant deal valued at over $242 million. Following his departure from the Mile High City team, Wilson signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he will earn $1.21 million while the Broncos cover the remaining $39 million of his salary.
In addition to the Washington estate, Wilson and Ciara also listed their $25 million home in Denver for sale. The couple accepted offers and provided tours to potential buyers for their Cherry Hills Village mansion. Despite taking a loss on the Denver property, Wilson managed to sell it for $21.5 million. Reportedly, the Washington estate underwent significant renovations, boasting amenities such as a gym, home theater, yoga, and dance studio, as well as a sports court on the premises.
As Wilson transitions to his new team in Pittsburgh, it remains unclear if the couple intends to purchase a home in the city where his football team is based. Married since 2016, Ciara and Wilson share three children, including their youngest daughter, Amora Princess Wilson, born in December of the previous year. The couple’s real estate ventures underscore their financial acumen and strategic planning for the future.
