Disney is set to make major waves at CinemaCon with their upcoming film releases, although they are holding off on their presentation until the last day of the event on April 11. Among the exciting announcements is the highly-anticipated big screen adaptation of The Mandalorian, titled The Mandalorian & Grogu, scheduled to hit theaters on May 22, 2026.
In addition to The Mandalorian, Disney has revealed other key release dates for their upcoming films. Toy Story 5, an untitled Pixar movie, is slated for release on June 19, 2026, with Warner Bros/New Line also holding this date for an untitled project. The live-action adaptation of Moana is set to debut on July 10, 2026, after being impacted by the Thanksgiving release of Moana 2 in 2025.
Disney is also making moves with new projects such as Tron Ares, produced by former Disney executive Sean Bailey, which is set to fill the spot reserved for an untitled film on October 10, 2025. Meanwhile, 20th Century Studios’ thriller starring Rami Malek, The Amateur, has seen a change in release date from November 8, 2024, to April 11, 2025. Universal is gearing up to release an event film on The Amateur’s newly scheduled weekend.
As part of their diverse lineup, Disney is also planning for limited releases, including the Marielle Heller horror comedy Nightbitch, starring Amy Adams, which is set to open on December 6. With an array of exciting projects in the pipeline, Disney is poised to continue dominating the box office and captivating audiences worldwide with their innovative storytelling and beloved franchises.
