Eight cancer survivors will ride on the float, including Sonia Ray, an Atlanta resident who battled breast cancer. The float’s design, created by the Phoenix Decorating Company, features a colorful floral-covered carousel that symbolizes the cyclical nature of life. It also represents the City of Hope’s continuous growth and evolution in providing supportive cancer care.
The city of Newport Beach will make a splash at the Rose Parade with their magnificent 165-foot-long float titled “Jingle on the Waves.” This float pays homage to the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, incorporating iconic symbols such as the Fun Zone Ferris Wheel and the Balboa Pavilion. Adorned with beautiful flowers, the float is topped with a grand 20-foot Christmas tree. As an added touch, five former Rose Queens from Newport Beach will grace the float, adding a touch of regal elegance.
