  1. My PA (grandad) has been dead for about 5yrs, watching these 70's westerns Everytime there's a fight or a funny it makes me feel like my Pa is in here with me. His father was born in 1888, lied about his age and joined the Calvary. Supposedly rode up north some by train and some by horse for one of the Indian rebellions then proceeded into WW1. So these movies prob reminded him of his father. I'll be 42 this month and I can proudly say I've been a Wayne fan for 37 years now

There’s a few fools that think John Wayne was a draft dodger, Well he wasn’t he tried joining every branch of the service during WW11 none would take him because of his health problem so he was inlested to intertain the troups one way was making all his Great War movies amount other great show’s westerns I’ve watched his movies since I was a kid iam now 72 and a 100% disabled Vietnam combat Vet.

  6. I'm happy for those who like this movie, but it was way, way too silly and campy for my taste. Thank God it wasn't a musical, but most of the characters behaved like it was. Reminded me of "Oklahoma!"
